Original Genealogy as recorded by my Grandaunt Ruth Mary Stauffer with Internet links added.

I still need proof that Alexander McDonald was the father of Charles. The link about Charles' revolutionary war experience indicates a Charles McDonald was practicing medicine in NY and other links indicate William moved to Glens Falls only with his mother. McDonalds fought on both sides in the Revolutionary War and I find several Charles McDonald's as either a Loyalist or a Patriot. I have not positively identified for which side this Charles provided his skills as a surgeon. Still diggin :)
