Unidentified Loucks and Stauffer Relatives

Do you recognize a relative in these photos?

They are likely relatives of Abraham S(tauffer) Loucks who built his house in 1889.  The photos were found in Abraham's House and likely came to rest there when his brother Martin (Stauffer) Loucks died in the house across the street.  Abraham and Martin were brothers (sons of Nancy Stauffer Loucks) and were related to the folks in the photos. Martin and brother John made the trip West and made the contact with the distant cousins, and consequently kept in touch.

First of all, take a look at the Loucks Family photo posted by Tom Ridenour at www.familyoldphotos.com/pa/21/loucks_familt.htm  Marilyn Loucks Hooper agrees that Nancy Stauffer Loucks is seated second from left, and identifies four of Nancy's children:  Elizabeth Loucks Stoner seated on left end, Katherine Loucks seated on right end, and standing in the center John Loucks and Anna Loucks.  Compare this photo of Nancy to the older woman in #4 and also the third photo in the last group labelled "Elizabeth Neumeyer Stauffer?"  Now compare the unidentified girl standing on the left in the Loucks Family photo to the taller girl in #5 and the two photos from Keokuk, IA in the last group--note especially how her hair is parted--these all look like the same girl to me.  According to Winifred Paul, Abraham D. Stauffer's son Isaac N. Stauffer and family lived in IA; as did Joseph Sherrick, son of Abraham D.'s sister Anna Stauffer Sherrick.  Is the presence of Katrina Sherrick Stauffer in the Loucks Family photo a clue that the unidentified girls standing left and right have a Sherrick connection?  Isaac N. Stauffer and Joseph Sherrick were 1st cousins, and Joseph Sherrick and Katrina Sherrick Stauffer were 1st cousins.  (By the way, re the caption to #8, Winifred Paul says the father of Maria Stauffer Loar was Abraham D. Stauffer.)  Abraham D. Stauffer, Anna Stauffer Sherrick,  and Nancy Stauffer Loucks were all 1st cousins.

Just realized the last sentence in my pervious post should have said that siblings Abraham D. Stauffer and Anna Stauffer Sherrick were both 1st cousins to Nancy Stauffer Loucks.  Also discovered another possibility for the girl in #8--according to Winifred Paul's book (p70 in chapter on Newcomer family) Maria Stauffer Loar's unmarried sister Anne Stauffer lived with her in IL.

There's also a photo from Tom Ridenour at familyoldphotos.com that is believed to be of Abraham and Elizabeth Newmyer Stauffer--compare her to the older woman in group #4 and the last group from Keokuk, IA--they also look quite alike.  Ron, does this match any other photos you have of Elizabeth Newmyer Stauffer?  Was she ever in Keokuk?  Did she have any daughters?  Could the last group be individual photos of her and three of her children?

I have no other photos. Tom's photo at www.familyoldphotos.com/.../abraham_and_elizabeth_newmyer_st.htm does seem to resemble the older women in #4. In my group of five (received from Tom R.), I think that is why Tom had proposed that she may be Elizabeth Newmyer Stauffer. The eyes and cheeks appear very similar.
