I'm looking for a little bit of side information on the "Virtuous Grace" itself.  Most of the sources I have found list the same information; captain, routes, dates, passenger manifests; I'm trying to find out what kind of ship it was, perhaps some illustrations of her, or similar ships of the same type, etc. etc.  Does anyone have such information, or any links that I might follow?  I've been to several maritime history websites and found tons of information on many kinds of ship, but I'd like to make a connection to the "Virtuous Grace".

Along the same line, does anyone know where I can obtain an image of the original, handwritten manifest which includes Hans and Christian Stauffer's names?

Thanks

Well you got my interest with this post. I have not been able to find out what type of ship the Virtuous Grace may have been. As far as handwritten manifests, most of the ships lists and Oaths of Allegiance, etc for the period 1727 to 1808 are preserved in the Pennsylvania State Archives.
